Kindness is a commitment, followed by an action, to promoting wellbeing and reducing or preventing suffering. It is not about being constantly nice to everyone. At times, taking action to promote wellbeing or reduce suffering requires courage and assertiveness. We can be kind as individuals, but we can also create teams and whole organisations that leverage the power of collective kindness. Prioritising kindness is virtuous, ethical and leads to improved organisational, management, business and health outcomes.
